DebatLabb @ Club Ziggo, Amsterdam

August 9, 2012

Today I was at a debate evening where politicians and scientists discussed sustainable development and its (non) implementation at Debatlabb in Club Ziggo, Amsterdam. It was an interesting debate with themes of politics, taxes, the circular economy and food. It is always interesting to hear this discussion over and over, with different angles and opinions. My question however is always: HOW? Give me great examples of how it can be done. And also, with whom? With social entrepreneurs, NGOs, organizations, governments and scientists. We should work together, for one another. Within value based economy where people and planet are alike. I also find the aspect of ecosystem services and biodiversity an important component to mention within the sustainable development debate, which often is not included. For instance: the importance of the services and protection of the Amazon region. It is the actual planet aspect of SD. Still, all in all this debate was interesting. The whole debate is recorded and is soon available on
